# Gateways

In the tenant administration, the gateways of the tenant are managed here. A gateway connects the devices of an installation with the cloud platform; the current connection state is displayed by color.

> **NOTE:** This view belongs to the distributed installation of the platform. The all-in-one installation (standalone) does not register it; the Gateways menu entry is missing there.

> **NOTE:** Screenshot to be added: view/admin_gateways.webp — to show: gateway list with status colors and an error message in the Message column. The automated screenshot run (docs-capture) boots the standalone application and therefore cannot reach the view; the image has to be taken by hand from a distributed installation.

### Attributes

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Text | Name of the gateway; the leading cloud symbol shows the connection state by color |
| Base path | Text | Base path (topic prefix) of the gateway |
| Message | Text | Last error message if the gateway is in a faulty state |
